“Pet Mischief” tasks players with transforming into a pet during the 20th Anniversary event, but it’s not immediately obvious where this feature is. When found, you can explore the WoW 20th Anniversary location in “disguise” while nobody suspects your presence – though people might be a bit weirded out by two Dalaran Sewer Turtle pets walking around on their own.

What Is Pet Mischief?

WoW 20th Anniversary Hidden Pet Transformation & Achievement

In WoW, “Pet Mischief” is an Achievement that unlocks after using a Pet Disguiser to transform into your current Battle Pet. This Achievement is part of the WoW 20th Anniversary event achievement “A Cold Twenty Years”, making it a required Achievement to get the Coldflame Tempest 20th Anniversary mount.

After you find and use the Pet Disguiser, as you might expect, you will transform into your currently summoned Pet – specifically, your Battle Pet, not your active Hunter Pet. In this new form you don’t have any abilities, but you can walk around and collect Bread bits to get “Zoomies” for another Achievement (if you maintain Zoomies for 20 seconds).

New to the WoW 20th Anniversary event, Guest Relations sees players help uncover secrets to make sure everything runs smoothly at the celebration.

The effect lasts for 10 minutes, but you should earn the “Pet Mischief” Achievement soon after transforming into your Pet. If you’re tired of sneaking around in your Pet disguise, WoW players can simply right-click the buff to dismiss it.

Find A Friendly Face Not Far From The Festivities

To get the “Pet Mischief” achievement and unlock the ability to transform into your Pet, head to the WoW 20th Anniversary event outside the Caverns of Time in Tanaris.

Go to the central tent, then look to the northeast to see the 20th Anniversary Event pet play area, to the west of the Codex of Chromie queue location – you should see Taivan laying on his side, some pets wandering the grounds, and what appears to be agility training equipment.

Look for a Pet Greeter NPC to find a Pet Box on the ground next to them. Make sure that you have a Battle Pet summoned (from your Warband Collections menu), then right-click the Box to get a Pet Mirror unique item.

Right-click the Pet Mirror item to turn into your pet instantly, get the “Pet Mischief” achievement, and progress your way to getting the Coldflame Tempest mount.
