EA has confirmed a planned release window for its new Battlefield game
Electronic Arts has confirmed a planned launch window for its new Battlefield game.
As part of its third quarter earnings release on Tuesday, the publisher said it’s planning to release the next franchise entry before April 2026.
The game has an “expected fiscal year 2026 release” – that’s the 12 month- period starting on April 1, 2025 and running until March 31, 2026.
Four internal EA studios, which the publisher is collectively referring to as Battlefield Studios, are building a connected universe set in the modern day.
Dice is responsible for its multiplayer component, Motive is working on multiplayer maps as well as single player mission content, Criterion is mainly focused on single-player, and Ripple Effect is creating a new experience for the series.
EA shared the first pre-alpha gameplay footage of the next Battlefield game on Monday.
About 10 seconds of footage was included at the end of a video introducing the studios working on the game and a new Battlefield community testing program.
